Intel Pentium Processors to Power Microsoft's Affordable Surface Tablets

According to a report from WinFuture, Microsoft's upcoming line-up of affordable Surface tablets will be powered by Intel's Pentium series of processors and might start at just $400.

Insider sources have revealed that the low-end variant of the affordable Surface tablet will be powered by an Intel Pentium Silver N5000 Gemini Lake processor clocked at 1.1 GHz.

The higher-end variant of the device will reportedly pack either the Intel Pentium Gold 4410Y Kaby Lake processor clocked at 1.5 GHz or the Intel Pentium Gold 4415Y Kaby Lake processor clocked at a slightly higher 1.6 GHz.
